Activity Hit Rate shows the percentage of activities starting and finishing on time in a window adjustable via a goal.
The Activity Hit Rate metric in SmartPM measures the percentage of activities that both started and finished on time within a specific time period, known as the "window." This window represents the interval between two uploaded schedule files. The metric is calculated starting from the second file uploaded into the system.
You can set a Hit Rate Goal with each update. When uploading your first file, SmartPM prompts you to select a goal, with a default setting of 100%. After this initial upload, you can adjust the Hit Rate Goal via the Manage Schedules page. Changes to the goal apply as follows:
- If you modify the most recent goal, it will affect all subsequent file uploads.
- If you adjust a goal mid-project, it applies only to the specific window tied to that update.
Example: In a window from November 30, 2024, to December 14, 2024, 33.33% of activities started and finished on time.

Window Start Accuracy
The Window Start Accuracy metric tracks activities scheduled to begin within a given window and evaluates their start performance. It shows how many activities:
- Started on time,
- Started late, or
- Did not start at all.
Example: Between November 30 and December 14, 2024, 711 activities were scheduled to start. Of these, 429 started on time, 273 did not start, and none started late.
Clicking on any colored segment in the metric’s graph directs you to the **Should Have Started/Should Have Finished** report, pre-filtered by the selected category (e.g., "on time") and window.

Window Finish Accuracy
The Window Finish Accuracy metric evaluates activities scheduled to complete within a given window. It breaks down how many activities:
- Finished on time,
- Finished late, or
- Did not finish.
Example: From November 30 to December 14, 2024, 711 activities were scheduled to finish. Of these, 238 finished on time, 178 finished late, and 295 did not finish. (Note: If a colored bar in the graph is too small to display its number, hover your mouse over it to view the exact count.)
