Creating and Importing a Project
Creating a new project in SmartPM only takes a few minutes. Follow these steps to enter your project details, upload your baseline schedule, and start tracking performance:
- In the Projects List, click + Project.
- Basic Project Info:
- Project Name: Assign a clear, descriptive name.
- Source File Type: Select the format of your baseline schedule (ex: MPP, XER, etc.)
- Location: Enter country and ZIP code.
- Metadata
- Use metadata to filter your project by specific factors such as business unit, region, project type, etc.
- Upload Schedule
- Click Select Schedule File, locate your baseline file, and upload.
- Choose your hit rate goal %
- Add your contractual end date
- Track activities
- Once your schedule is processed, select key milestones and activities you want SmartPM to track.
- Click “Create Project” to complete.
