Creating and Importing a Project

Creating a new project in SmartPM only takes a few minutes. Follow these steps to enter your project details, upload your baseline schedule, and start tracking performance:

  1. In the Projects List, click + Project.
  2. Basic Project Info:
    1. Project Name: Assign a clear, descriptive name.
    2. Source File Type: Select the format of your baseline schedule (ex: MPP, XER, etc.)
    3. Location: Enter country and ZIP code.
  3. Metadata
    1. Use metadata to filter your project by specific factors such as business unit, region, project type, etc. 
  4. Upload Schedule
    1. Click Select Schedule File, locate your baseline file, and upload. 
    2. Choose your hit rate goal %
    3. Add your contractual end date
  5. Track activities
    1. Once your schedule is processed, select key milestones and activities you want SmartPM to track.
    2. Click “Create Project” to complete.
