How to Create a Custom Template

The schedule Quality Profile Editor lets you create, clone, and customize quality profiles for different types of projects. Project profiles define which metrics matter and how they should impact the overall quality score. SmartPM includes a default quality profile. It cannot be edited directly, but you are able to clone it and build your own as needed. You have the ability to select a different profile per project, or set a company details so new projects inherit a specific profile automatically. 


  1. Access the template by clicking Admin from the global naviation menu. 
  2. Click Quality Profiles from the top menu bar.
  3. To add a new Quality Profile, select + Quality Profile, or click the Clone icon from an existing profile to create a copy. 
  4. Give your Quality Profile a unique name.
  5. Review the preset logic checks and threshold values. Adjust elements as needed to align with your organization’s standards or project needs by clicking on the pencil icon from each activity.
  6. To make activities visible or not visible, click the eye icon. 
  7. After customizing, save the new template. 
  8. As teams use the rubric, collect feedback and performance results. Refine the thresholds, checks, or focus areas to better match real outcomes.

Assign a Quality Profile to a Project

You are able to choose a quality profile for any existing project.

From the Project List:

  1. Select the project you want to update the quality profile for.
  2. Click Analysis from the top menu bar.
  3. Click Schedule Quality from the left navigation menu. 
  4. From here, click Select Quality Profile from the top right corner. 
  5. Select the correct Quality Profile and click Set as Default Profile.
  6. Click Select Quality Profile and choose the selected profile. 
  7. Your new quality report will populate.
