Key Metrics in Delay Analysis
Earned Baseline Days:
This metric calculates how many calendar days your project should have taken so far, according to the baseline schedule, considering the actual percent complete reported in the latest schedule update.
Earned Baseline Days help assess the efficiency of project execution and are crucial for billing and performance evaluations.
Example: If the baseline schedule indicates 25% completion on Day 5, but the project is actually 25% complete on Day 10, the Earned Baseline Days would be 5.
Forecasted/Predicted Completion Date:
SmartPM uses a proprietary algorithm to estimate the realistic completion date of the project, based on current progress and performance. This forecast adjusts dynamically as the project evolves.
The forecasted completion date will not populate until the project is approximately 50% complete.
This forecast provides stakeholders with an updated timeline, aiding in resource planning and stakeholder communication.
