Missing Logic
Missing Logic refers to activities that have no defined predecessors or successors.
How missing logic affect the schedule:
- Schedules with missing logic can generate undefined float or ambiguous sequencing.
- These gaps may hide potential delays and make it impossible to accurately forecast project completion.
- Critical path calculations become unreliable.
Best Practices:
- Ensure every activity (except the first and last) is properly linked with a predecessor and/or successor.
- Review predecessor and successor relationships regularly, especially after updates.
