Missing Logic

Missing Logic refers to activities that have no defined predecessors or successors.

How missing logic affect the schedule:

  • Schedules with missing logic can generate undefined float or ambiguous sequencing.
  • These gaps may hide potential delays and make it impossible to accurately forecast project completion.
  • Critical path calculations become unreliable.

Best Practices:

  • Ensure every activity (except the first and last) is properly linked with a predecessor and/or successor.
  • Review predecessor and successor relationships regularly, especially after updates.
