One-Off Change in Scenario Conditions

A One-Off Change condition lets you precisely pick a specific activity and apply a customized change (e.g. delete activity, change duration, adjust logic ties) in your scenario. 


You may use this to:

  • Remove a problematic activity entirely
  • Adjust the logic relationship between two tasks
  • Change an activity’s calendar, codes, or duration

Create a One-Off Change Condition:

  1. Click the Project name from the Project List.
  2. Click Modeling from the top menu bar.
  3. Click conditions
  4. Click + Condition from the top right of the screen and click One-Off Change
  5. Pick the schedule from which your change starts then click Create Rule
  6. You’ll be taken to the Gantt Chart view
  7. Find the activity or logic you want to change and choose your action from the bottom right menu:
    1. To delete: click the activity bar and select Delete
    2. Click Field Log to 
    3. Click Change Log to
    4. To adjust duration, calendar, activity codes: click Edit Attributes
    5. Click Performance to
  8. After edits: click Save One-Off Change Rule on the top left, name it, and click save. 

 

Create and Apply a Model with a One-Off Change:

  1. Go to Advanced Model under Modeling menu
  2. Model Info and click Next
  3. Select Schedules (include the one you modified) and click Next
  4. Check the One-Off Change rule and click Save / Close

To Compare Results:

  1. From Project Dashboard: choose your One-Off Change scenario in Model box, then view metrics & charts
  2. Use the Gantt Chart panel to check whether affected activities remain on critical path
  3. Toggle between Original and One-Off scenario to see differences in dates, slack, etc
