New Features

  • Project List: columns added:

    • Planned End Date: This is the date against which slippage is calculated; it can be set as either the contractual or scheduled end date.

    • Quality Profile: Displays the name of the quality profile currently applied to the project.

  • Essential Projects: Now featuring dedicated tabs for more streamlined analysis: Trends, Quality, Changes, and Settings (available in V2).

  • Historical Quality Data: In previous versions, quality reports were dynamic—meaning changes to a profile or a current file could retroactively alter the quality grades of previously uploaded files. With this release, users can choose to keep their quality grades static. This ensures that profile updates or new file uploads will not affect grades that have already been reported.

    Note: Feature only available for SmartPM V2. Click here for more information and instructions on how to use this new feature.

  • SmartPM Support Bot: The Support Bot has a new home. When you have questions about SmartPM, instead of using the green icon in the bottom right corner, use the SmartPM Support Bot located in the left-side menu. You can ask questions based on our knowledge base or submit a support request directly through the bot.

  • Help Hub: For further assistance, visit our new Help Hub in the V2 site. Found in the bottom of the left-side menu, the Help section provides quick access to:

    • Direct support from the SmartPM team.

    • Our Help Center and Knowledge Base.

    • SmartPM Academy.

    • A portal to submit ideas or suggestions.

 

Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Contractual End Date: Fixed a bug where the contractual end date was not carrying over during a project rebuild.

  • File Import: Resolved an issue where users were unable to delete and add a file with the same data date simultaneously. Additionally, fixed a bug where SmartPM defaulted to company configurations rather than specific project configurations.

  • Schedule Comparer: Corrected an export error where the wrong data date was shown for the second file if its data date was earlier than the first.

  • Character issue: Fixed an encoding error where non-English characters were appearing incorrectly in exported files.

  • Quality Report: Fixed an issue where start milestones were incorrectly flagged as missing an actual finish date.
