Schedule Import Guidelines

Importing your schedule into SmartPM is simple, but it’s important to follow a few key guidelines to ensure accurate analysis.

Keep these best practices in mind when uploading your files:

• Import only “like” files. Do not cross-import MPP (Microsoft Project) and XER (primavea) formats into a single project.
• Accepted formats: MPP (Microsoft Project), XER (Primavera), XMP (Primavera), PPX (Phoenix Project), PP (PowerProject).
• When updating schedules, best practice is to ensure the file’s data date is newer than the last imported file.
• After submitting your schedule for analysis, wait for email confirmation that your analysis is complete before reviewing performance metrics.
