Unstatused Activities
What it is:
Activities that still show planned dates in the past, before the current data date, with no actual progress recorded.
Why it’s a Problem:
This signals outdated updating practices. It creates unreliable reports, hides delays, and makes it difficult to forecast accurately. Stakeholders lose confidence when the schedule doesn’t match reality.
Best Practice:
Update all activities that should have started or finished before the data date. Enter actuals, percent complete, or revise logic as needed. Always re-calc the schedule at the end of each update cycle to ensure everything aligns.
