Why is my end date in SmartPM different from my schedule?
This article addresses causes to date differences that occur between the native scheduling platforms & SmartPM.
SmartPM was designed to automatically scrub schedules of “bad scheduling practices” to ensure it is analyzing a reliable & verified data set. The more common practices that need correcting are:
- Activities that are given actual start and finish dates that prior schedules should have reflected
- Unfinished activities (tasks) with 0 days of Original/Remaining duration
- Actual start and actual finish dates in the future
- Planned start and planned finish dates in the past
Presently SmartPM is still set to remove these “bad scheduling practices” when you import schedules to be analyzed.
